Benni targets Premier League survival with Hammers
Benni McCarthy aims to shoot West Ham United Football Club to top-flight safety this season.
The South African has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Hammers having left Blackburn Rovers, and he has vowed to help the Londoners claw away from the relegation zone.
"Now I can just get back to playing and getting a place in the team,” he told Sky Sports. “I am looking forward to getting to know my new team-mates and help get the club out of a tough situation."
McCarthy joins the Upton Park club just a point ahead of the bottom three, and he has also been joined in Gianfranco Zola’s squad by fellow deadline-day striker signing Mido.
