Pepe Reina is sure Liverpool Football Club’s fans want Rafael Benitez to stay.

After finishing second in the Premier League last season, Reds fans were hoping that their long wait for a league title was within their grasp this term.

However, their form has been poor and they face a fight to finish in the top four, whilst they are also out of the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.

This has led to speculation that Benitez is on borrowed time at Anfield, but Reina is sure that given the choice, the fans would prefer the Spaniard to be given more time.

"You only have to look around the stadium to see what people think about him. In tough moments we must stick together and work as hard as ever,” he told the goalkeeper.
