Almunia confident Arsenal can still win the title
08:30 PM 03 February, 2010
Manuel Almunia believes Arsenal Football Club can still win the title this season.

A 3-1 defeat to Manchester United leaves the Gunners in third place and six points adrift of Chelsea, who they face at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

It was a 3-0 defeat to the Blues which sparked a run of ten matches unbeaten for Arsene Wenger’s side, and Almunia believes they can bounce back from the United defeat in similar fashion.

“We are on schedule to do good things this season, we have only a little step to get back to the top of the league," said the Spanish goalkeeper.

"When you think about where we were after the Chelsea game, that is a great achievement. Sometimes it is better to come back to challenge than to be at the top all the time."

Gunners if there is any onwe to comment about our title credentilas then i wouldnt expect Almnia to make any comment. His stupid irresponsible mistakes may soon cost us the title.Manone is young but he is the sort of keeper who will earn his team a point in difficult moments single handedly. Not even the 3 foot tall Fabianski can do that.I just wish rascals like Sol didnt make any comments in the Press about their stupid records which cant be broken and yet are rubbish on the pitch. He should concentrate on training hard.Manone should be given the gloves on Sunday and believe me we shall walk out of Stanford bridge with our heads high.Because even if Chelsea strikers fail to score atleast Almnia will force one in.
