Alex McLeish is already planning for the summer with Birmingham City Football Club.

The Blues have made giant strides in the Premier League this season, and talk of relegation has long been banished on the terraces at St Andrews.

The takeover from Carson Yeung has given McLeish a platform to further progress the side, and he admits he is about to start his plans for the summer transfer window already.

“We will be sitting down in the next couple of weeks to discuss the way ahead and we will be getting a list prepared well in advance,’’ he told the Birmingham Mail.

“What’s done is done and we now concentrate on the remainder of the season and identifying more of the type of players we would like to bring to this football club to help us progress.”
