Portsmouth Football Club insists Aruna Dindane is their player on loan only.

Lens believe the Premier League club must now start to pay for the striker’s permanent signature, after he played his fifteenth game for Avram Grant’s men.

However, cash-strapped Pompey insists that Dindane is only a loan player at Fratton Park, as he still has played enough games to trigger the clause.

"He hasn't played the required number of games for it to be a permanent transfer,” said a club spokesman. "He is still on a loan agreement as far as we are concerned."
