Louis Saha has signed a new contract at Everton Football Club.
The French striker was due to become a free agent in the summer, when the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were expected to show an interest in his signature.
However, Saha, whose career has been reignited since leaving Manchester United for Goodison Park, has repaid the loyalty shown in him by signing a new deal with the Toffees until 2012.
"It was an easy decision," the 31-year-old told the club's official website. "You always think carefully but it didn't take me long to know I wanted to stay because I have enjoyed my time here.
“I want to be part of the future of Everton. It is a pleasure and an honour to stay here. You look at where you are going and by staying at Everton I feel I am going up in my career."
