Jozy Altidore hopes his first goal for Hull City will be the beginning of big things for him.

The 20-year-old American striker was on target in the 2-1 win over Manchester City at the KC Stadium, a result which lifts the Tigers out of the relegation zone.

On loan from Spanish side Villarreal for the season, the player has taken time to adjust to life in the Premier League, but he is confident he is getting there.

"It's a league that's very fast and I think that takes a little bit of adjusting, especially if you're a young player," said Altidore. "I think I'm getting there and hopefully I can just keep going."
