Sunderland Football Club have been linked with a £10million move for Aiden McGeady.

The Republic of Ireland international was chased by Birmingham City in the winter window, but he remains part of Tony Mowbray’s squad at Celtic.

However, he is being tipped for a move to England in the summer, and the Sunday Mirror claim the Black Cats are prepared to pay as much as £10million for his signature.

McGeady is rated as the best talent in the Scottish Premier League, and Steve Bruce is likely to face competition for his signature should he be made available.
