Hughes issues Portsmouth battle cry
Richard Hughes believes Portsmouth Football Club can still avoid relegation.
A 5-0 hammering at Manchester United leaves Pompey seven points adrift of safety with fourteen games remaining, but Hughes remains optimistic they can turn things around.
"The fixtures are there for us to turn things around and the gap is there and it has to be bridged,” he told The News. "We have some games coming up which we would look at as more winnable.
"Some tough matches are out of the way now. They are matches we can win and put ourselves back in the running."
