Anderson ready for Manchester United challenge
03:00 PM 10 February, 2010
Anderson is ready to challenge for his place in the Manchester United Football Club side.

The Brazilian has been on the fringes of Sir Alex Ferguson’s first team this year, and he went AWOL when left out of the squad against Hull City last month.

This has led to speculation over his future, but speaking to manutdsoccerschools.com, Anderson insists he is prepared to fight for his place in the starting eleven.

“No footballer is happy when they are out of the team,” he said. “If you’re not bothered about being on the bench or in the stands you will never be successful, certainly not at United.

“You have to be unhappy if you’re not in the team. I see it as a great challenge. It’s good to have competition around you because that’s the way to get the best out of players.”
