Steven Gerrard believes Liverpool Football Club can yet finish third this season.
The Reds have endured a hugely disappointing campaign this term, with their aspirations of a first league title since 1990 dashed before the clocks went back.
Elimination from the UEFA Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup has the Anfield club playing for just the Europa League and a place in the top four from now until May.
Gerrard and his pals are currently in fourth position, but as they travel to Arsenal on Wednesday night, the midfielder has set his sights on overtaking the third placed Gunners.
"It's a massive game for us and the target is to try to get a result where we can push on and try to get third place,” he said. "We're just taking each game as it comes.
“Obviously at the end of the season our target is a top-four finish but if Arsenal give us any sniff of catching them then we want to grab it and hopefully that will be on Wednesday night."
