Carrick fires title warning to Chelsea
05:30 PM 10 February, 2010
Michael Carrick believes Manchester United Football Club are hitting top form.

The Reds are in the hunt for a record fourth successive title this season, but the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid in the summer raised question marks over their chances.

Although they have already lost five times this season, United are just two points behind leaders Chelsea, and Carrick believes they are getting close to their top form.

“We’re now playing like we know we can,” said the midfielder. “Hopefully now we can hit our best form and find consistency. We do tend to save our best for the New Year.”
