Chelsea Football Club have been linked with a move for Dani Alves.

As much as Carlo Ancelotti likes Branislav Ivanovic, he sees the Serbian international more as a central defender than a right fullback, where he has figured mostly this season.

Reports in the Daily Star claim the Italian coach has made Barcelona star Alves a top target for this position, with an offer set to be made for the £30million-rated Brazilian in the summer.

The 26-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge towards the end of his stint with Sevilla, but he opted to remain in La Liga.

Reports in Spain now suggest the Blues have been in touch with Alves’ agent regarding a potential move to England ahead of the 2010/11 campaign.
