David Villa in no rush for Premier League move
David Villa insists the World Cup Finals is the only thing on his mind.
The 28-year-old, proven as one of the most prolific goalscorers in world football, is widely expected to leave Valencia when the transfer window reopens.
Villa has confessed recently that he is open to the idea of playing in England, but he insists he will not even consider his options until after the World Cup in South Africa.
“I do not want to lose the opportunity to play the World Cup with calm and concentration, without thinking of other things,” the Spaniard is quoted in AS.
“The World Cup is all I have in my head. I cannot control what others say, but I can control what I say and in this case, it will not be anything.”
Should Villa decide to head to the Premier League, Chelsea and Manchester United are expected to lead the chase for his signature, but both appear to face a wait for the player.
