Kevin Phillips admits he is unsure what the future holds for him.

The veteran striker came off the bench to hit a brace for Birmingham City in a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, to remind Alex McLeish what he is capable of.

However, first team football has been hard to come by for Phillips this season, and he admits he is keeping his options open with regards to next term.

"I can bring things to the club. I can help younger players, but ultimately I don't want to finish my career on the bench week in and week out,” he said.

"I've done it a fair bit this year but, if the chance comes to go somewhere in the summer where I can go and play regularly, I'll look at it. But I've had a fantastic year-and-a-half here.”
