Carlo Ancelotti insists Petr Cech still has a future at Chelsea Football Club.

Once dubbed the best goalkeeper in European football, the Czech Republic international has failed to reach the heights of his early days at Stamford Bridge.

It had been suggested that the Blues could offload Cech at the end of the season, but Ancelotti insists he retains his full confidence in the former Rennes star.

“He is very solid,” said the Italian coach. “When a player has a problem I want him close to me and the club. Everyone can make mistakes. You have to forget them and move forward.”
