Manchester City linked with shock Vidic swoop
Manchester City Football Club have been linked with Nemanja Vidic.
The Serbian international looks destined to leave Manchester United, who have signed Fulham’s Chris Smalling for around £10million as a potential replacement.
AC Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid are leading the chase for the 28-year-old, who has been an integral part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s side since January 2006.
Reports at the weekend claimed it is Real who are favourites to sign the former Spartak Moscow defender, in a deal which would earn the Premier League side £20million.
However, according to the Sunday Times, the Reds can expect a sensational offer from rivals City for Vidic, just twelve months after luring Carlos Tevez from Old Trafford.
