Arsenal star won’t follow Henry to Spain
11:00 AM 15 February, 2010
Robin van Persie insists he has no intention of quitting Arsenal Football Club.

The 26-year-old Dutch international, currently sidelined through injury, has become a key player for Arsene Wenger’s side since moving from Feyenoord in the summer of 2004.

Indeed, some believe the Gunners would not be trailing Chelsea by such a margin as six points had he not picked up his ankle injury which is set to rule him out for the rest of the season.

A number of clubs, including Real Madrid and Highbury legend Thierry Henry’s Barcelona, have been linked with van Persie, but he insists his future remains in North London.

"Even if you want to leave, as a player, I don't think it is easy because when you move to Arsenal you are led there by your heart,” he told the News of the World.

gooner 4 life wat are u talking about small fish in a big pond lmao he had 1 injury prone season b4 he left us but other than that he was without doubt the best player in the world it didnt matter if he was at utd chelsea madrid or barca he was still the best player in the world so u cant say he was a small fish the only difference was barca didnt treat him like that he was just another world superstar and then they played him out of position and he lost all his confidence. as for rvp no chance he will leave he is suited to the premier game now.

When Henry left, he did all the job for Arsenal. Perharps he could have brought the Champions league if it wasn't for the Eto'o offside goal. I mean when he left, he did not have much to prove to the world. They said Barcelona is a good city for holiday, I mean for a good rest after lot of work!

When Thierry Henry was at the Arsenal he was a big fish in a small pond. Now at Baca he is a small fish in a big pond. I know he has won the CL with Baca. RVP has seen this. RVP is now our big fish. He wants to remain the big fish the grass is not always greener on the other side. Now we have MC on board. MC & RVP up front lets see what happends...?
