Glen Johnson believes Liverpool Football Club’s fans have no equal.

The former Chelsea and Portsmouth defender moved to Merseyside in the summer, and he has declared the club’s supporters as the best he has ever played for.

"The fans are fantastic," Johnson told Liverpoolfc.tv. "People say how good the Portsmouth fans are, and they are, but Liverpool fans are in a league of their own.

"When you walk out (at Anfield) and hear the fans singing the anthem (You’ll Never Walk Alon), it helps. Every player is so proud to put on the shirt."
