Silvestre ready to call time on Arsenal stint
10:30 AM 15 February, 2010
Mikael Silvestre is ready to quit Arsenal Football Club in the summer.

The former Manchester United defender is said to have been furious last week, when he was left out of the eighteen-man squad to face Liverpool in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger instead decided to name veteran Sol Campbell on his bench at the Emirates Stadium, highlighting Silvestre’s place in the pecking order.

It is being widely reported that the Frenchman, 32, has now decided he will leave the Gunners at the end of the season, when he will be out of contract anyway.
