Manchester City could renew Diarra interest
Lassana Diarra could again be on Manchester City Football Club’s wanted list in the summer.
Mark Hughes wanted to take the France international to Eastlands last January, but the player declined their invitation and instead signed for Real Madrid.
The former Portsmouth star hasn’t exactly been a flop at the Bernabeu, but it is believed the Spaniards are prepared to listen to offers for him at the end of the season.
A Real insider told L'Equipe: "Lassana is a good player but not a fundamental part of this team. Sometimes he forgets his technical limits and does not pass the ball quickly.”
This could well prompt new City boss Roberto Mancini, who is on the lookout for another midfielder, to try and lure the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth star back to England.
However, the Italian coach may prefer to take Argentine star Fernando Gago from the Spanish capital, but with Internazionale also interested, Diarra could yet enter his thoughts.
