Eriksson sets his sights on Liverpool job!
06:30 PM 15 February, 2010
Sven Goran Eriksson would love to manage Liverpool Football Club, claim reports.

The former England coach has left his position as director of football at League Two club Notts County, and he is now looking for his next venture.

And according to a report in the News of the World, the Swede is keeping tabs on the situation at Anfield, where Rafael Benitez remains under pressure.

The Spaniard led the Reds to runners-up in the Premier League last season, but they are well off the pace this term and have already been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League.

And Eriksson, who has coached England and Manchester City in the recent past, is believed to have set his sights on succeeding Benitez should he be shown the door in the summer.
