John Terry has taken the blame for Chelsea Football Club’s defeat at Goodison Park.
The Premier League leaders suffered a 2-1 loss against Everton on Wednesday, and Terry, recently stripped of the England captaincy due to allegations over his private life, has shouldered the blame.
"We went to Everton and suffered a bad defeat," he said in the Blues matchday programme. "On a personal note, both Everton goals were my fault. I'm big enough to take responsibility for that.
“I know no-one went over to our fans so, on behalf of everyone there, I apologise for that. From now on we'll make sure players come over to you, whatever the score. Once again we are really sorry."
