John Terry has demanded an improvement from Chelsea Football Club if they are to wrestle the Premier League trophy from Old Trafford this season.

The Blues suffered their fourth defeat of the campaign when they suffered a 2-1 loss at Everton in midweek, which helped Manchester United to close the gap to just one point.

All of Carlo Ancelotti’s defeats have been away from Stamford Bridge, and Terry believes he and his team-mates must improve on the road if they are to reclaim the title.

"At home we've been great but if we want to go on and win the league, our form away from Stamford Bridge needs to improve," he told the matchday programme.

"There's another tough period coming up for both teams and Arsenal still haven't quite gone away. We are in the lead and we need to, and can, keep it that way."
