Arsenal Football Club failed with a deadline-day bid for Louis Saha.
Arsene Wenger was interested in signing a new striker for the second half of the season, with Robin van Persie potentially sidelined for the campaign with an ankle injury.
At the time Saha was in the final six months of his contract at Everton, although he has signed pledged his future to the Toffees by signing a new two-year deal.
But according to The People, the 31-year-old could have been a Gunners player, but he decided against making a move to the Emirates Stadium on deadline day.
