Kris Boyd remains a target for Birmingham City Football Club.

Alex McLeish was keen to raid former club Rangers for the striker in the winter, and for a while it looked as though he was going head-to-head with Aston Villa for his signature.

However, the 26-year-old remains at Ibrox, but he is in the final months on his contract with the Scottish giants and is set to head to England on a Bosman free in the summer.

The Daily Mail claim McLeish is as eager as ever to add Boyd to his squad at St Andrews for the 2010/11 season, and will move to snap him up when the window reopens.
