Sunderland Football Club are hoping to cash in on Steed Malbranque in the summer.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined the Black Cats from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2008, but he has struggled to make an impact at the Stadium of Light.

Although he has started nineteen Premier League games this season, Malbranque has failed to find the back of the net, and The Journal claim Steve Bruce is ready to offload him.

The uncapped Frenchman has another two seasons left to run on his existing contract, so his club would look to recoup much of the sum they paid Spurs for his signature.
