Manchester United ace welcomes Huntelaar link
Edwin van der Sar would welcome Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Manchester United Football Club.
Reports in The Mirror claim AC Milan are willing to include the striker as part of the deal for Nemanja Vidic in the summer, and his Dutch compatriot would welcome him to Old Trafford.
“I played with Klaas for two or three years with the national team and he’s a great goalscorer,” said van der Sar. “When he gets a chance, he can finish it.
“You always have to pay attention to him when you’re up against him. He had a hard time at Real Madrid and hasn’t started a lot of games for Milan, but he can still be a great player.”
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with Huntelaar, but having seen Wayne Rooney’s performance at first hand on Tuesday, he would relish linking up with the England star.
The Reds number ten was in sensational form against the Rossoneri in Italy, scoring two goals in the 3-2 UEFA Champions League second round first leg win.
