German international on Chelsea radar
Bastian Schweinsteiger is said to be a target for Chelsea Football Club.
Now that the Blues transfer ban has been lifted, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to make some key signings when the window reopens at the end of the season.
And according to the Daily Express, the Italian coach is plotting a bid for German international Schweinsteiger, who is under contract at Bayern Munich until the summer of 2012.
Italian giants Juventus are also believed to be interested in the 25-year-old, but Ancelotti will hope the midfielder follows his compatriot Michael Ballack to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, the FA Cup holders are also being linked with a number of high-profile players, including Marek Hamsik of Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.
It looks as though it will be an interesting summer for the Blues.
