Chelsea Football Club have set their sights on Angel Di Maria.

The Argentina international is rated as one of the most exciting attacking players in European football, and has long been on Manchester United’s radar.

The Reds were linked with a move for the Benfica player in January, when they were willing to offload Portugal international Nani as part of the transfer.

However, the Stadium of Light club declined this bid, but whilst Di Maria remains a target for Sir Alex Ferguson, he faces familiar competition.

Reports in the Daily Express claim Carlo Ancelotti has made the 22-year-old winger a target for Stamford Bridge, as he looks for more youth in his Blues squad.
