Sunderland boss deserves more time

Steve Bruce believes he deserves more time to turn Sunderland Football Club around.

The Black Cats made an excellent start to the season, including beating Liverpool and Arsenal and coming within seconds of winning at Manchester United.

However, they have only won once since November and are just three points above the relegation zone, but Bruce believes he deserves time to turn things around.

“I'm six months into the job and you do hope you are given time," he said. "I said at the start I hope that the people I work for, and I'm truly convinced they are, are sensible enough.

"We need to win a game but I'm the same manager that got the club off to the best start in 35 years. Now we are on an awful run - it can happen, this is the Premier League."

i would of rather had the blip @ the begining of the season but hey as long as things turn around n sharpish we should be fine and bruce should be left to do what he needs to do because if we go changing now then it would b a huge step backward
