Wolverhampton Wanderers admit Doyle fears
12:30 PM 20 February, 2010
Mick McCarthy admits he could struggle to keep Kevin Doyle at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Republic of Ireland international was signed from Reading in a £6.5million deal in the summer, and he has six Premier League goals to his name this season.

Doyle has been a big hit at Molineux, but McCarthy accepts that if he continues to impress, he could struggle to keep the 26-year-old at the club.

"I'd hate to put a value on Kevin. He is a very, very good Premier League player,” said the Wolves boss. "Look, when someone plays well, that goes with the territory.

"I never lose any sleep about anything like that, because I can't do anything about it. It doesn't concern me at all. Doyley came here and is loving it.

“If we stay up, we are a Premier League club and he would still be loving it. But if someone like a Manchester United come in and ask and offer, it is bloody hard work then isn't it?"
