Boyd urged to snub Birmingham City interest
02:30 PM 20 February, 2010
Kris Boyd has been urged to stay at Rangers Football Club.

The Scotland international striker is out of contract in the summer and is wanted by former Ibrox boss Alex McLeish, who is currently in charge of Birmingham City.

Whilst the lure of the Premier League is sure to be tempting for Boyd, his current club mate Steven Naismith has urged him to remain with the Gers.

“The chance of winning more medals with Rangers will be a big lure for Kris,” he told the Scottish Sun. "You want to look back on your career having won as many medals as possible.

“Boydy has broken loads of individual records, but he'll want more medals, too. The lure of playing European football is always a big thing at Rangers. These are all big positives in staying here.
