Drogba backed to beat personal best
Petr Cech reckons Didier Drogba could beat his personal best of 33 goals for Chelsea Football Club this season, following his brace at Molineux.
Drogba struck twice to seal a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday and take his tally to 25, and Cech is backing him to score many more goals before the end of his campaign.
“Didier has been brilliant all season," said the goalkeeper. "He can beat that 33 goal record (from the 2006/07 season). You can see he is in form. He is fit and he is confident.
"If he stays fit, I am sure he will get more goals. It's always difficult to say if anyone is in the best form of their career. Sometimes, if a striker is not scoring as many goals, they can be in good form.
"But Didier has been brilliant for us for many years. He has always been on top. He has always been brilliant. He is one of the best strikers in the world and he just keeps doing the same things."
