Alex McLeish has played down Stephen Carr’s mistake on Sunday afternoon.

The Birmingham City defender’s foul on Zoltan Gera allowed Bobby Zamora to score a late free-kick for Fulham, which sealed a 2-1 win for the Londoners who had earlier trailed.

"Stevie Carr was fully committed and Stevie's cringing in the dressing room - he's upset, he's very disappointed,” McLeish told Sky Sports.

"But you know he doesn't make many mistakes over the course of a whole season and I'm sure Stevie Carr will want to bounce back next week."
