Toure ready to bid farewell to Barcelona
Yaya Toure will end his spell at Barcelona in the summer, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The Ivory Coast international has been a big hit at the Camp Nou since his arrival in the summer of 2007, when he joined the Catalan giants from Monaco in a €9million deal.
However, the 26-year-old has found it difficult to cement a place in Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven this season, and reports suggest he will be on his way out in the summer.
This is sure to be of interest in long-term admirers Manchester City, who have the player’s brother, Kolo, as club captain after he moved to Eastlands last summer.
And Arsene Wenger may also be keen to add Toure’s battling quality to his Arsenal squad, although suggestions Cesc Fabregas could head in the other way as part of the deal are unlikely.
