Malouda shocked by Jose’s Chelsea exit
Florent Malouda admits he was shocked when Jose Mourinho left Chelsea Football Club.
The Portuguese coach made the France international his last big signing as manager of the Blues, when he forked out around £13million to take him from Lyon.
Soon afterwards Mourinho departed Stamford Bridge in a move which shocked the footballing world, not least Malouda who admits he was disappointed at the time.
“He did a great job so I didn't understand,'' he said. "I wanted to come because Jose brought trophies here and I wanted to be part of it.
“I had the impression that Chelsea were strong and could beat anybody and were having great results. I was surprised there were problems.''
Mourinho will come face-to-face with Malouda and his former Chelsea pals on Wednesday night, when his Inter Milan side play host to the Londoners in the UEFA Champions League.
