Anderson considering Manchester United future
10:00 AM 24 February, 2010
As much as Anderson wants to stay at Manchester United Football Club, he admits he may have to consider his future if he can’t nail down a regular starting place in the team.

The Brazilian midfielder has been in and out of the side this season, and he returned to his homeland without permission which has sparked anger from Sir Alex Ferguson.

Anderson admits he has spoke to the Reds manager about this, whilst admitting if he can’t become a regular fixture at Old Trafford, he may have to seek another club.

"The conversations with Ferguson are private but I have explained my situation," he said. "I always had a good relation with Ferguson, but I need more chances to play in the first team.

"I am a professional footballer and my responsibility is to United. Am I happy? I would say I am optimistic. If I play more games then I will be happy. But that is normal.

"Some European clubs have asked about me but, as far as I am concerned, my future is still with United. I am not finished here and I'm convinced that I can offer much to this team.”

It is believed French outfit Lyon are keen on Anderson, 21, who cost £18million when he joined the Premier League champions from FC Porto in the summer of 2007.

I think Anderson will be a very good replacement for Roy Keane, but he should be able to prove himself that he is a matured and a professional footballer. In a big club like Man U you need to prove youself in the pitch, what he did was not good and he need to apolozise for that; I know how important he is to the club but he need to improved on his skills and behavior. He should learn from Giggs, Scholes and other great players. with United he will succeed.
