Walter Samuel hopes to make life difficult for Chelsea’s Didier Drogba on Wednesday.

The Ivory Coast international is in superb form this season, having found the back of the net on 25 occasions for the Premier League side in all competitions.

Next up for Drogba and co is a UEFA Champions League trip to the San Siro to face Inter Milan, whose defender Samuel is quietly confident of keeping the in-form frontman at bay.

“If we remain tight to him he will always have problems receiving the ball,” he said. “We’ll have to do this kind of limited work but that’s the best route to victory.”
