Nicky Shorey has been linked with a shock move to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

The England international is contracted to Aston Villa, but having fallen down the pecking order, he was loaned out to Nottingham Forest earlier this season.

Shorey is now enjoying his second loan spell of the campaign, back in the Premier League with Fulham, and his performances are said to have impressed Harry Redknapp.

It has been reported that the Spurs manager has made the former Reading star a potential summer recruit, as he looks to add more depth to his squad at White Hart Lane.

Indeed, Redknapp has been a fan of Shorey for some time, having previously failed to sign him during his time at Fratton Park in charge of Portsmouth.
