Benayoun discounts Everton ambition
03:00 PM 25 February, 2010
Yossi Benayoun has dismissed Everton Football Club’s chances of making the top-four this season.

The Goodison Park club are on a great run of form in the Premier League this term, and have beaten both Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks.

This has sparked suggestions David Moyes’ men could make a late and dramatic bid for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, but Benayoun is unimpressed.

"I think the race will go to the end between us, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa,” the 29-year-old Liverpool playmaker said.
