Chris Iwelumo admits he could extend his stay at Bristol City Football Club.

The 31-year-old Wolverhampton Wanderers striker is on a month-long loan deal at Ashton Gate after falling down the pecking order at Molineux.

Iwelumo, a Scotland international, has made the move as he recovers from a broken metatarsal, and he admits he may extend the stay to further boost his fitness.

"I am here just for a month. The aim is to play some games. As for the future, I couldn't tell you. We will address it later in the month,” he told the Bristol Evening Post.

"I am keeping my head down and getting match fitness and, hopefully, I will score a few goals along the way. This has been the most frustrating spell of my career.”
