Ryan Babel is determined to make the grade at Liverpool Football Club.

The Dutch international has failed to establish himself in England since his £13million arrival from Ajax in 2007, and has been heavily linked with a transfer.

His former club and Premier League rivals Birmingham City would love to take Babel, but after speaking with Reds coach Rafael Benitez, the forward wants to make it at Anfield.

"I have had a good talk with the manager and I know what I have to do," he said. "That is what I am going to concentrate on. I just have to try to be patient, keep working hard and doing my best."
