Blackburn Rovers Football Club’s Ryan Nelsen is relatively happy with news on his knee injury.
The New Zealand defender picked up the injury during the 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on Sunday, and he feared he could miss the World Cup Finals.
However, scans have revealed that he has torn a muscle behind the knee and suffered bone bruising, meaning the 32-year-old should be back in action by April.
"It's probably the best result I could have got," Nelsen told Radio Sport. "In the great scheme of things it's not too bad. It certainly could have been worse."
