Gonzalo Higuain expects to sign a new contract at Real Madrid.

Juventus have been heavily linked with the Argentina international, with the Italian giants said to be preparing a bid to take him to Turin in the summer.

However, Higuain is becoming an increasingly important player at the Bernabeu, and he expects to be handed a new contract in due course.

“I am convinced that the renewal of my contract with Real Madrid will be settled,” he said. "All I have to do is make sure I do my best on the field, everything else will take care of itself."
