Foster glad of Manchester United appearance
Ben Foster was pleased to be back in goal for Manchester United Football Club in midweek.
The England international made his first appearance in three months in the 3-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford, and he was delighted to be back.
"It's nice to get a run-out," Foster told MUTV. "It was a good game for me to get involved in. I knew maybe a week ago, the boss told me so it gives you plenty of time to prepare mentally.
"It's not nice when you're not even on the bench sometimes and you're not involved in the squad. With it being a World Cup year it's an important time, you need to be involved.
“But hopefully it's the start of a few more games coming my way. That's all I can look forward to really. I think I need to play some more games. Obviously it's not down to me.”
Edwin van der Sar remains Sir Alex Ferguson’s first choice shot-stopper for the Reds, whilst Polish international Tomasz Kuszczak is usually his backup.
