Manchester United confirm Anderson blow
Manchester United Football Club’s Anderson has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Brazilian was handed a rare start against West Ham United in midweek, but he didn’t even last twenty minutes before picking up a knee injury.
"The real bad news is that Anderson has a cruciate knee injury," said Sir Alex Ferguson. "He will be out for the rest of the season. It is a bad blow. It is a bit of a blow to us.
"We have assessed the situation and know he needs the operation. He will be out for six months and hopefully that should have him about right for the new season."
