Chelsea’s Cech faces month on the sidelines
Chelsea Football Club’s Petr Cech is set to be sidelined for four weeks.
The Czech Republic international goalkeeper picked up an injury during the UEFA Champions League clash against Inter Milan on Wednesday, which the Blues eventually lost 2-1.
It was initially feared Cech would be out for the season with a knee injury, but scans have revealed the damage is to his calf and he will miss a month of the campaign.
A spokesman for Chelsea said: "Today's scans confirm that Petr Cech suffered a tear in a calf muscle in the Inter game. He is expected to be out for three to four weeks."
