Steve Clarke has finally secured his move to West Ham United Football Club.
The Chelsea assistant handed in his resignation at Stamford Bridge last week only to see this rejected, but the Blues have now agreed a compensation package with their London rivals.
Clarke was eager to link up with Gianfranco Zola at Upton Park and in doing so ends a 21-year-old association with his former club.
"We are very pleased to welcome Steve Clarke to the club," chief executive Scott Duxbury told the club's website. "Steve is rightly regarded as one of the top coaches in Europe.
“His experience and knowledge will be a huge asset to us.
“He recognises what we are trying to achieve and wants to be a part of that. We have worked very hard to bring him on board and are confident we now have the perfect coaching team."
