Shay Given was baffled as to why some Chelsea Football Club fans booed Wayne Bridge on Saturday.

The Manchester City defender has been in the public eye of late, since allegations that his former team-mate, John Terry, has had an affair with his ex-girlfriend.

This has resulted in Bridge making himself unavailable for England as he doesn’t want to play alongside his former best pal, who he refused to shake hands at the weekend.

A large section of the Stamford Bridge crowd booed Bridge, who performed well in a shock 4-2 win for City, and this has left Given somewhat baffled.

"I don't know why the crowd reacted the way it did," the Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper revealed. “I don't see what he has done wrong."
